Document Importer To Import .docx File Into WordPress Editor As Post
Document Importer is a WordPress plugin which allows you to import .docx files from Microsoft Word, Google Docs and from your computer into WordPress editor as a blog post with a single click. You need not worry about formatting or images. It retains everything from images to bullets.
Using this plugin you can import .docx file directly into WordPress editor as blog post and publishing without doing even a single formatting again. All I can say that it is a time saver plugin that I would highly recommend to everyone who writes a blog post in Microsoft Word or in .docx file format.
Update: Free version of this plugin has been discontinued and removed from WordPress Repo by Plugmatter. Now only pro version is available under two licenses Professional ($29) and Developer ($49).
Document Importer supports importing from your Computer, Google Drive, and Dropbox. To use this plugin you need to install and activate Document Importer By Plugmatter Lite plugin.
Now go to Settings >> Document Importer and register there for a license key.
Note: Document importer only imports .docx file format.
It uses advanced XSLT parser to convert a word file into an HTML file which retains all the formatting when imported to WordPress editor.

Once you have installed and activated Document Importer By Plugmatter WordPress plugin, then go to Post >> Add New and on the right-hand side, you will see an option to import .docx file. Simply select the file from your computer and click import.
Make sure the file is in word format (.docx file) and you have done all the formatting before importing. The free version only allows you to import from the computer but its premium version also allows you to import from Google Drive and Dropbox.
The best thing is that when you import your file using this plugin it automatically imports all the images to their respective places while retaining both size and alignment of the image. Not only this, it automatically uploads images to WordPress Media library. Also, your links will remain intact. It will retain all the formatting of your blog post.
